2009 Pollie Awards and Conference in Washington, DC, March 27-29

2009 Pollie Awards and Conference

Join us as we celebrate the 2009 Pollie Awards and Conference. The event, which will be held March 27-29, 2009, at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center, promises to be the best in the history of our organization.

The annual Pollie Awards & Conference features business sessions that discuss the latest issues and trends from both professional and policy perspectives. These sessions feature nationally recognized experts and personalities, which have included CNN's Bill Schneider, Chris Matthews of MSNBC's Hardball, Carl Cannon of the National Journal, Jeanne Cummings of Politico, James Carville, Karl Rove, Ari Fleischer, Joe Napolitan, Raymond Strother and Chuck Todd of NBC.

The Pollie Awards & Conference is part of a three day conference which is held in a different city every year. Our conference highlight is the Pollie Awards Reception which gives industry wide acknowledgment of deserving work in three categories: Campaigns, Public Affairs and Issues and Referendums.

Besides the Pollie Reception, the event also includes the Hall of Fame Reception which will be honoring former AAPC President and World Poker Tour Ladies Champion Nancy Todd Tyner and Dick Wirthlin, United States President Ronald Reagan's chief strategist and pollster. The sponsor trade show will be back again this year (and bigger than ever before) as well as first class entertainment including our humorist-in-residence, Will Durst, and The Capitol Steps.

Last year, at our Santa Monica conference, The Daily Show turned out the red carpet to interview members of our profession. In addition attendees were treated to presentations by nationally known consultants including Cathy Allen, President of The Connections Group, NBC Political Commentator, Mike Murphy, and nationally known pollsters Whit Ayres, Ed Goeas, and Mark Mellman. Our trade show showcased over 30 sponsors including Google, Yahoo!, the USPS, Aristotle and many others. Your participation guarantees that AAPC will continue to help our young people with their higher education, mentor programs and other efforts to instill knowledge about the political and public affairs profession.

AAPC members who register for the Pollie conference receive one free Pollie Award submission, a $150.00 value.

Your early registration for the March, 2009 conference will ensure your attendance at one of the premier political and public affairs events in the nation.

If you have never attended a Pollie Awards Conference or have missed attending in recent years, 2009 is the year you will not want to miss.

We look forward to seeing you in March.
